Video Game Roundup

Final Fantasy 7

Started platying the original, my second playthrough. My first was in 2010, so this has been a fun replay. I’m working through it slowly, because it’s a beast of a game!

Fantasy 7 Remake

Also playing the remake! This is a weird thing - it’s structured like a PS3 game (it released in 2020), is uneven in how it presents Midgar and the larger world, and the characters have a lot of moments together but say little. The battle system is fun though, and on balance it’s interesting enough to stay with.

Rimworld

Back at this. I have a really successful colony set up but I am really struggling going past this step. I think I’ll step away from the game for a while to think about and research how to do better on expeditions and stuff before going back in.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Fun! I’m about halfway done with this and hope to complete it before the end of the year!
